NYTimes released this piece about how easy it can be for internet organizations to keep an eye on you. It raises some of the concerns… and dilemmas… that tech folks have struggled with for a while. Is it necessary to host your own mail server, or is the paranoia that Google is reading your email overblown? Do you need a VPN? What about those DNS requests? There’s a lot of ground to cover and they don’t get too in-depth, but it’s a decent primer for a few of the concerns.
