After Diaspora began another push for donations to continue development (which was going strong), PayPal froze them out of their funds without explanation, and have since denied their appeal. That’s bad. On the upside, Diaspora managed to get set up with a separate payment system called Stripe, and they’re now able to accept donations again.
I’d already abandoned PayPal earlier in the year. It’s good to know there are other organizations out there ready to take over for them.
