Another big step

Today Zoe begins preschool.

We’re pretty confident that she’s ready. At every turn we’ve had educators tell us (as we got her signed up for class and all) that she seemed pretty far ahead of the curve, intelligence-wise. My own concern is whether or not she’s ready to get into a daily schedule like this. But I’m sure she’ll be fine.

First words, first steps, first use of the potty without assistance, first day of school… and just two days ago she also read her first book on her own, has been writing sentences, is picking up basic math, and is already quite competent with almost everything they listed at the orientation that they intended to teach her classes.

She’s going to fall into the same trap I did: everything is easy so why care.

That’s my girl.
