Concert piracy? Yeah, maybe. I’m sure that instead what will happen is that every police cruiser in the nation will have one of these to prevent recording of officers. Perhaps they can come up with a portable one too, just in case they have to chase a suspect out of range of the car.
It’s nice to pretend that all officers are nice and don’t engage in brutality or questionable behavior on the beat. But let’s be realistic here. This device would solve the ‘problem’ that police are having with being camera-filmed far more readily than it’d solve the ‘problem’ of shitty cell phone bootlegs of concerts. And it’s hard to pretend Apple doesn’t know what the fuck they’re doing with this.
