I once heard an interview with some rock star (dude from the Sex Pistols? Don’t remember) where he described being somewhat unaware of their own fame. I have to paraphrase, but he said “It’s like being in a room full of cat piss. You get used to the smell, and then someone comes into the room and says ‘holy crap how can you stand that smell?!’” I’m forced to assume this is where the Pope has gotten to: there’s so damn many pedos around he doesn’t even realize it anymore.
