We took that employee survey in March. The results have been trickling in. So far we’d seen results for the IT department as a whole, and our sub-department, but not our team. We just got those now, presented by our manager, in a very awkwardly-silent 20 minutes.

It was brutal. Hopefully the message has been driven home, but people are fed up with the shit we have going on around here. We were scoring between 20-40% below the IT organization as a whole across the board. Oh, and they wouldn’t provide copies of the numbers because they didn’t want them getting out. Which is slightly funny: the CIO said in a meeting last week that the numbers aren’t meant to be private. Yay for transparency I guess. Or not.

Still with luck this will drive home the point of how fed up we are with this crap. We’ll see.
