I gave up on American cars a few years ago. I haven’t seen an American car with decent build quality in quite a while… most seem to have some major issues by the time they hit the 50,000 mile mark. So you’d expect that I couldn’t summon up the energy to give a proverbial rat’s ass.

Still, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the old classic Mopar muscle cars. Maybe it’s the tales Dad told of his old Coronet, the old school badass days of NASCAR, or just the fact that the ‘68 Charger is just so damn sexy, but I have to admit that I’m a tad sad at the thought of the once glorious producer of such magnificient beasts devoured by a larger, less friendly producer of… well, similar beasts.

I’ll pour out a 10W-40 on the corner for you.
